Chameleon 3 Motor Yacht

Stabilisers that work with the engines off as well as with way on are the first thing to know about Chameleon 3: movement is damped when she is running, and damped again when she is lying at anchor for the night. She is a 66ft (20m) Princess motor yacht, built in 2021.

Where she cruises

Nassau is her home port, and the Bahamas are the whole of her cruising ground; she works year-round, at her busiest from January to March and in December.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six overnight – two with queen beds, the third laid out with twins – and all of them are air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi reaching through the boat. A crew of two looks after that group, while by day she can take twelve aboard, twice her overnight number.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 20 knots with 38 knots available, and her engines draw 300 litres an hour, so the distance between anchorages is covered quickly.

On deck

The swim platform gives a direct step down into the water and an easy route back aboard.

Water toys

A Seabob, two paddleboards and a kayak go over the side for anyone who wants to move about under their own steam, towables are there for those who would rather be pulled along, and she carries gear for fishing and for snorkelling. A 13ft tender takes people ashore.

Charter notes

Chameleon 3 suits a family or a group of friends who would rather be looked after than work the boat themselves, and she can be hired for three days at a time, which brings the Bahamas within range of a short trip.
