AVA Motor Yacht

A refit in 2021 renewed AVA, a 55ft (17m) Princess motor yacht from 2008 that works year-round, with December through March her peak months.

On deck

A swim platform sits at water level, so a swim is a step off the deck and an easy climb back aboard.

Water toys

A Seabob F5S, a floating mat and snorkelling gear travel with her, along with two SUP boards, so two paddlers can be out on the water at the same time, and a 12ft tender handles the trips ashore.

Where she cruises

Colombier, on St Barths, is AVA's home port, and her range takes in St Barths itself, St Martin and Anguilla, so she is not tied to a single stretch of coast.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins, a queen and a twin, sleep four guests, both air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi covers the yacht. A crew of two looks after those four, a crew member for every pair aboard.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 21 knots with 32 knots in reserve, which makes short work of the distance between anchorages.

Charter notes

AVA suits two couples rather than a large travelling party, and her two cabins and four berths are sized for exactly that. Day and half-day hire opens her to twelve aboard, while overnight she remains a yacht for four.
