Lady J Superyacht

A refit in 2016 is the latest chapter in a life that began in 1997: Lady J, a 141ft (43m) superyacht from Palmer Johnson, with interiors by Terence Disdale and exterior lines by Tom Fexas Yacht Design.

Water toys

Scuba diving and snorkelling are both part of what she carries, so time in the water can be spent at depth or just under the surface. A Wave Runner, water skis and a wakeboard make up the powered end of the equipment and a kayak the quiet end, and there is fishing tackle aboard as well. Her beach tender takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Saint Francois, in Guadeloupe, is her home port, and Lady J moves between Guadeloupe and Martinique, so guests can swap islands instead of settling on a single coast.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep twelve guests overnight, and by day she can have eighteen aboard. Nine crew run her for a maximum of twelve, so help is never far. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi reach throughout, and satellite television and a PlayStation cover the indoor entertainment.

Comfort under way

Zero-speed stabilisers take the roll out of her when she is stopped, and under way she settles at 12 knots, with 22 available when there is ground to cover.

On deck

The jacuzzi sits out in the open air, and the gym means exercise carries on without going ashore.

Charter notes

She can be chartered by the week, with January, February, March and December her busiest months. Lady J suits a family or two couples, and for anyone in the group who dives, the equipment travels with her.
