Top Five Superyacht

Carol Williamson & Associates drew the interior of Top Five, and a refit in 2009 renewed her; she is a 157ft (48m) superyacht from Christensen, built in 2005 with her lines from the same yard.

Comfort under way

Zero-speed stabilisers work with her stopped as well as moving, so the roll of a swell is damped at anchor and on passage alike. Under way she holds 12 knots and can push to 22, which shortens a longer leg when it needs shortening.

On deck

The deck jacuzzi puts a hot soak in the open air, and a swim platform gives a step straight down into the sea rather than a climb over the side. An elevator links her decks, so moving between them does not have to mean stairs, and a gym aboard means training need not stop for the length of a stay.

Water toys

Seven toys travel with her, and for divers the essential is among them: scuba diving equipment is carried aboard, with snorkelling gear for the shallower ground. A Wave Runner and a Scarabeo come with her, water skis can be towed behind, and fishing tackle is aboard as well. A beach tender takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Top Five has her home port at Saint Francois in Guadeloupe and cruises Guadeloupe, Martinique and Grenada, three Caribbean grounds from which a charter with her can be drawn.

Accommodation and crew

Six cabins sleep twelve guests overnight, and by day she can hold eighteen, so a party can grow for the daylight hours without needing more beds. Eight crew look after them, her high season falling in December and running through to March.

Charter notes

Top Five suits two couples sharing her or a family, and the divers in either party. Her owner offers her by the week and for three days, so a shorter hire sits alongside the full week aboard.
