About Betsy

Alberto Mancini shaped Betsy outside and in, so the lines of her hull and the neutral, contemporary palette of her rooms come from a single hand. Mangusta built her as a Gransport, new for 2026, a superyacht of 177ft (54m) meant to hold pace and range together, and there is a gym aboard, room to exercise without going ashore.

On deck

The sun deck holds a skylounge, an aft deck and a bow lounge with a pool, and the upper deck living areas have a table laid for dining, a bar and several places to lounge, so twelve can eat, drink and spread out in the open air. Full-height windows wrap an open-plan salon that opens straight onto the exterior decks and fills the main deck with daylight. A barbecue is out on deck as well, and on the lower deck a large beach club with the swim platform puts guests at the edge of the sea.

Water toys

Her tender is a 6.4m Castoldi Jet Tender that carries up to 12 guests, so the whole party can go ashore in a single run. Two Waverunners travel with her, a three-seater and a two-seater, and she also carries kayaks, paddleboards, waterskis, snorkelling gear and fishing gear, enough to keep paddlers, skiers, snorkellers and anglers all occupied.

Where she cruises

Simpson Bay in St Martin is Betsy's home port, and St Martin itself, St Barths, the British Virgin Islands and the USVI lie within her Caribbean range. St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda and the Bahamas follow, and in the Mediterranean she cruises France, Italy and Monaco, so a party has both Caribbean waters and a Mediterranean coast to choose from.

Accommodation and crew

Six cabins sleep twelve guests, a king stateroom, three queens and two twins, with the primary stateroom on the main deck and the guest staterooms on the lower deck. Nine crew look after those twelve, with her peak months running December to March and again through July and August, and she carries the same twelve by day, no bigger a party than she sleeps.

Comfort under way

MTU engines drive her aluminium hull to a 20-knot cruise with 30 knots at the top, so sea miles pass quickly between stops. Her stabilisers work under way and at zero speed alike, and the roll comes down both on passage and lying at anchor.

Charter notes

Betsy suits two couples or a family of up to twelve. She can be taken for a week's charter or as a three-day hire, and either way the guest cabins and living spaces are laid out apart from the crew's, so guests and crew each have their own part of the boat.
