Dubai Motor Yacht

Four cabins – a king, a queen, a double and a twin – set the shape of a stay aboard Dubai, a 79ft (24m) Maiora motor yacht built in 2003 and refitted in 2023.

Comfort under way

She holds 23 knots as a cruising speed, using 450 litres of fuel an hour at that pace.

On deck

Getting into the sea off her swim platform is a matter of walking down to it, and getting back aboard afterwards is no harder.

Water toys

A Seabob F5S, two stand-up paddleboards that take two paddlers at once, a banana boat, snorkelling and fishing make up what she carries for the water. Her tender, an 11ft Zodiac 350, takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Male is her home port and the Maldives her cruising ground, a single one rather than a country-to-country run, with December, January, February and March her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

Eight guests sleep aboard and nine can be on board through the day, with four crew for them, which leaves two guests to each crew member at night. Air conditioning runs through the accommodation and Wi-Fi reaches the whole boat, so nobody has to go without contact ashore.

Charter notes

Dubai suits a family or a group of friends of eight. She can be hired for a shorter stay as well as chartered by the week, so a party of that size can have her in the Maldives for less time than a full week.
