Amaya Motor Yacht
About Amaya
Roberto Del Re drew her exterior, and his slender lines belong to Amaya, a 105ft (32m) Maiora motor yacht from 2001 that was fully refitted in 2018.
Comfort under way
She runs on a planing GRP hull with two MTU engines, cruising at 18 knots and reaching 30, and she uses 700 litres of fuel an hour. That spare speed means a longer leg can be covered quickly rather than at cruising pace.
On deck
The main deck holds a large living space with a bar of its own and an integrated professional sound system, along with a table for eating in the open air. A wide sundeck gives further room outdoors. Inside, the salon is generous, its dining area placed discreetly forward, and the whole interior was drawn around light and the view of the sea. A swim platform makes the step into the water a short one.
Water toys
Two jet skis send a pair of riders out at the same time, and four Seabobs go in the water with them. There are SUP boards to paddle and snorkelling gear aboard, while a 13ft tender runs the group ashore.
Where she cruises
Amaya's home port is in Sardinia, Italy, and she works the western Mediterranean, with the coasts of Italy, France and Monaco within her reach.
Accommodation and crew
Five en-suite staterooms on the lower deck sleep ten guests, in a king, two queens and two twin cabins, the master set forward. A crew of five looks after them, a crew member for every two guests aboard.
Charter notes
Amaya suits two couples travelling together or a family taking her whole, July and August being her peak months, and twelve guests can be aboard by day, more than she sleeps overnight, so time on the water can take in a larger group.
