Sambuca Motor Yacht

A water slide into the sea and space for eighteen guests on a day out are what you notice first about Sambuca, a 53ft (16m) Grand Banks motor yacht.

Comfort under way

She was built in 2004 and refitted in 2021, and she cruises at 12 knots with 18 knots at the top of her range, so an anchorage further down the coast stays in reach.

Water toys

Two paddleboards and two kayaks travel with her, so a pair of guests can be out on the water on each, and there are inflatables to play on, snorkelling kit and fishing gear for anyone who wants to put a line out. An 11ft tender carries people ashore and back.

Where she cruises

Sambuca is based at Phuket and cruises the waters of Thailand, with January, February, March and December her busiest months.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins sleep four guests overnight, and a crew of three runs her, which is close to a crew member for each guest aboard. Both cabins are air-conditioned and Wi-Fi reaches throughout.

Charter notes

Two couples have the run of her for a week, with the crew doing the running. She can also be taken for three days, or for a day or half a day, so a larger group gets the boat and her crew for the water alone, without staying aboard overnight.
