Harun Motor Yacht

Harun burns 200 litres of fuel for each hour under way, a plain figure that tells a guest what a passage between anchorages asks of her tanks. Custom Made built her as a 124ft (38m) motor yacht in 2015, and she went through a refit in 2023.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Bodrum, in Turkey, and her grounds cover Turkey and Greece, so a charter need not stay inside a single country's waters.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests: two with queen beds, two with doubles and a twin with a pair of single berths. A crew of five runs her, so for ten guests there are five people whose whole job is looking after them.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 12 knots and will make 17 when asked, and her stabilisers are of the zero-speed kind, so the system that steadies her while she is moving keeps on working once the anchor is down, and the roll a guest would otherwise feel at anchor is largely taken out of Harun.

On deck

Her jacuzzi is out on deck, open to the sky, and her season peaks across July and August. The swim platform sits at the waterline, so getting into the sea is a step down rather than a climb over the side, and climbing back aboard after a swim is no harder.

Water toys

A 13ft tender carries guests ashore, and she keeps fishing tackle and snorkelling kit aboard, so a guest can put a line in the water from her deck or slip in with a mask straight from the yacht.

Charter notes

Harun suits two couples travelling together or a family spread across her five cabins, and a week's hire of her is built around ten overnight guests, though by day she can have twenty aboard, so the ten who sleep aboard need not be the only guests she carries.
