Axella Superyacht

A 2022 refit reworked Axella throughout, and the result shows in small things as much as large: iPads in the cabins run the air conditioning, the sound system and the televisions, which carry the main streaming services. She is a 110ft (34m) superyacht from Crestitalia, launched in 1995.

On deck

Her outdoor sitting areas give a choice of sun pads or shade, and the fly deck has a retractable sun roof over a teppanyaki grill, a fridge and a television, so food can be cooked and eaten in the open air.

Water toys

A 21ft tender runs guests ashore, and the water itself is well covered: a jet ski and two Seabobs for speed, two paddleboards, an electric surfboard and a wakeboard for standing up, a towable that takes two riders, and scuba and snorkelling gear for looking below. The hydraulic swim platform makes getting in and out straightforward.

Where she cruises

Axella's home port is Bodrum in Turkey, and she ranges along Turkey's coast and across to Greece, so two countries' anchorages open from the same base.

Accommodation and crew

Ten guests sleep in five staterooms: a main-deck master with a centreline queen bed, and below, down a spiral staircase from the salon, two doubles and two twins, each en suite with a shower and air conditioning. Seven crew, a chef among them, look after the ten.

Comfort under way

Stabilisers that work at anchor as well as under way keep roll down when she is stopped and when she is moving, and she cruises at 20 knots with 26 available.

Charter notes

Axella suits two couples travelling together or a family, her weeks peaking in July and August, and the party can be larger than the ten who sleep aboard: eighteen by day, and up to 50 for an event.
