About Equinox

Twelve guests can come aboard Equinox for a day on the water, and the lines they arrive to are the work of Tom Fexas Yacht Design. Cheoy Lee built the 82ft (25m) motor yacht in 2004, and she was refitted in 2020.

Comfort under way

She settles at 13 knots and has 23 knots at the top end, so an anchorage further off stays a realistic choice rather than an ambition.

On deck

Her swim platform opens straight onto the sea, which makes getting in for a swim, and back aboard afterwards, a simple matter.

Water toys

Water skis, a wakeboard and towables cover the tow-behind side of things, snorkelling gear is aboard for time spent looking down at the reef, and an inflatable pool holds the group together in the water. She is rigged for fishing as well, and a 16ft Venture tender runs trips ashore.

Where she cruises

Harbour Island in the Bahamas is her home port, and her cruising range covers the Bahamas and the USA.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six guests overnight. A king, a queen and a twin make up the accommodation, and a crew of four runs her, December and the January to March stretch being her busiest.

Charter notes

Equinox suits a family, or friends travelling together, who want a boat built around the water rather than around covering ground. Day trips are offered too, so people who are not staying aboard can still join her for a day's hire.
