Y42 Motor Yacht

Salvagni Architetti drew the interior of Y42, while her exterior lines came from Canados, the yard that built this 112ft (34m) motor yacht in 2008 and saw her refitted in 2019.

Where she cruises

Y42 works the coast of Turkey from a home port on the Turkish Riviera, and since Turkey is her only cruising ground, guests stay along the same shoreline instead of clearing in and out of other countries; July and August are her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests, and five crew keep her running, which on a yacht taking ten is a generous number of hands for the people aboard.

Comfort under way

A 25-knot cruise with 35 knots at the top end lets her cover open water quickly, so an anchorage well along the coast is not an all-day undertaking.

On deck

The deck jacuzzi holds warm water in the open air, and the swim platform brings the sea within a step of her deck for anyone who would rather be in it than looking at it.

Water toys

A Seabob and a Flyboard travel with her, snorkelling gear is aboard for the water itself, and a beach tender takes guests ashore.

Charter notes

Y42 makes sense as a family hire, or for two couples travelling together, and with sixteen able to be aboard while she is out on the water, the group can be larger than the party staying the night.
