Birubi Superyacht
About Birubi
A beach club at sea level gives Birubi direct access to the water, with her gym sharing that level, and RWD styled her interior together with Benetti, the yard that built her within its B.Now series and delivered her in 2022. She is a 164ft (50m) superyacht.
On deck
An infinity pool on the aft deck and a jacuzzi on deck give two places to be in water without leaving the yacht, and the sun deck carries seating both forward and aft. The bridge deck has a dining area aft, so meals can be eaten outdoors, along with seating forward, while a sky lounge adds an indoor room away from the main deck lounge. Her gym holds a rowing machine, free weights, a training bench, exercise balls, resistance bands and yoga mats, and a hammam gives her a steam room.
Water toys
A 37' Axopar chase tender is towed behind her for trips ashore. Two Yamaha Waverunners carry two riders at a time, two Seabobs pull two snorkellers along, with snorkelling gear carried too, and two E-foils come aboard as well. Three SUP boards and a kayak move at the paddler's own pace, water skis, a wakeboard, a kneeboard and inflatable tows are there to be pulled behind a boat, and an anti-jellyfish pool encloses a patch of sea for swimming.
Where she cruises
Monte Carlo in Monaco is Birubi's home port, and her Mediterranean range takes in Monaco, France, Italy and Croatia. Malta, Spain, Greece and Montenegro are on her list as well, and in the Caribbean she works St Barths, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and the Grenadines. At Hvar in Croatia the Pakleni Islands hold a cove at Palmizana that is reached only by boat, and in Corsica the Lavezzi archipelago is a nature reserve whose beaches are left almost untouched, the kind of places where a yacht anchors and the tender goes ashore.
Accommodation and crew
Five cabins sleep ten guests, four of them with double beds and the fifth convertible between a double and a twin; the master is full beam on the main deck and opens onto its own private balcony, and two of the others are VIP cabins. The cabins are bright, and by day she can carry twelve. Ten crew look after her ten guests, which means a crew member for every guest, and demand for her runs highest in July and August and again from December through to March.
Comfort under way
Stabilisers cut her roll, and she cruises at 13 knots on 190 litres of fuel an hour, with 15 knots as her top speed.
Charter notes
Birubi suits two couples who each want a proper double, or a family that fills all five cabins; her charter is sold by the week, and a hire of three days is the shortest she takes. It is that fifth cabin, made up as a twin or as a double, that lets both kinds of party settle into a layout that fits them.
