Five cabins across three decks, with the owner's suite set on the main deck rather than tucked up top: King's Lair is built around a specific idea of who gets which space. Benetti delivered her in 2023 as a 34-metre superyacht, and that layout is the model's signature move.
Build and provenance
She has a fibreglass hull and a monohull, displacement-style profile rather than a planing one, built for steady running rather than outright speed. Benetti built her with a deck-level owner's suite as the design's signature move.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests occupy five cabins, attended by a crew of eight at nearly one-to-one. The owner claims a private suite on the main deck, a retreat set apart from the guest spaces below.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,361 hp MTU 10V 2000 M86 engines give her a 14-knot cruise and an 18-knot top speed, matched to a displacement hull built for steady anchorage-to-anchorage running rather than fast passages. Stabilisers work both at anchor and underway, and a bow thruster makes closer manoeuvring in a marina straightforward.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, a swimming pool and a full sun deck sit above a barbecue for al fresco meals, with a hydraulic swim platform lowering to the water at anchor and underwater lights extending an evening swim past dusk. Sunpads line the open spaces, and a tender garage keeps the tender stowed out of sight until it is wanted.
Where she lies and how to see her
King's Lair lies in Fort Lauderdale, in the United States, and Boatcrowd sets up viewings there and stays involved through them; once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before handover. She also sails in our charter fleet out of Nassau, reaching the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands and much of the Eastern Caribbean, which means a buyer can charter her for a week before deciding to buy.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
