Sea Owl Motor Yacht

A fuel burn of 155 litres an hour sits behind Sea Owl's 20-knot cruise and 25-knot top speed, so this 87ft (26m) Azimut motor yacht from 2022 covers distance quickly.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers work under way and at zero speed, which means less roll when she is moving and less when she is lying at anchor.

On deck

The aft deck sits under cover, with a deep settee wrapped around a dining table and a television that drops from the ceiling when it is called for. Her flybridge carries a bar, a second dining table, forward-facing helm seats and loungers, and a sunroof that opens to the sky or closes for shade. Forward there is a broad sunpad with seating, a table and shade on request. With the garage door lowered, Sea Owl gains an extended swim platform at the waterline, which puts the sea a step away.

Water toys

A 35ft Scout tender with fishing gear handles trips ashore, and a Williams jet tender gives her a second boat in the water. A Seadoo jet ski and two Seabobs come along, with two paddleboards so a pair can be out on the boards together, plus towables and snorkel gear.

Where she cruises

Nassau is her home port, and the Bahamas are her cruising ground, busiest in December and from January through March.

Accommodation and crew

Five staterooms sleep eight guests, with the full-beam master on the main deck and four more cabins below. Four crew run her, including a chef, so cooking is handled aboard.

Charter notes

She works for parents with children on board, or a few friends sharing a week afloat in the Bahamas. Sea Owl takes day hires as well as full weeks, and twelve can be aboard for a day on the water, so a wider group can join her.
