Dream II Motor Yacht
About Dream II
A refit in 2022 is the newest thing about Dream II, and under it sits a hull that Azimut delivered in 2003, a motor yacht of 70ft (21m).
On deck
She carries a swim platform, which is the simplest way to leave the boat for the sea and get back aboard afterwards.
Water toys
An 11ft Avon tender does the runs ashore from an anchorage, and snorkelling gear stays aboard, so masks and fins are there without anyone packing their own.
Where she cruises
Athens is her home port and Greece the country she works, so a trip aboard stays within Greece rather than crossing to another coast, her peak months falling in July and August.
Accommodation and crew
Four cabins sleep eight guests overnight. The beds run to two doubles, a twin and a bunk, and three crew look after the group; she is air-conditioned and carries Wi-Fi, so contact with home does not mean going ashore to find a signal.
Comfort under way
She cruises at 23 knots with 34 available at the top end, burning 350 litres an hour, so the water between two anchorages does not take long to cross.
Charter notes
Dream II is a boat for a family or for friends travelling together, and taking her on hire gives ten places aboard by day, so the group on the water can be larger than the group in the cabins.
