About Medusa

Fishing tackle and snorkelling gear are kept aboard Medusa, and her jet ski is a Seadoo from 2019 – the same year this 68ft (21m) Azimut motor yacht came out of a full refit.

On deck

She sets a table in two places, on the aft deck or in the saloon, so a group can eat in the open air or inside. A barbecue is fitted for cooking aboard, the exterior cushions are new, and underwater lights put light into the sea around her hull.

Water toys

An 11ft Yamaha tender takes guests ashore and brings them back. Water skis come in adult and children's sizes, and a kneeboard, a tube for the jet ski to pull and a paddleboard cover the rest of the towing and paddling. The swim platform shortens the step from deck to water and makes climbing back out easy.

Where she cruises

Athens is Medusa's home port, and she cruises Greece, with July and August her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins – a master suite, a VIP and two twins, all with en-suite bathrooms – sleep eight guests, with a crew of four aboard in their own quarters. Air conditioning in the cabins and Wi-Fi aboard keep the boat cool and the group in touch.

Comfort under way

Built in 2005 and running on twin MTU engines, she cruises at 22 knots and reaches 30, with fuel use of 350 litres an hour. A watermaker produces fresh water aboard, so filling the tanks does not depend on a marina stop.

Charter notes

Medusa suits a family or a group of friends planning a week's rental in Greece. Twelve can be aboard for a day on the water against the eight who sleep, so others can join for the day without taking a cabin.
