Indy Power Catamaran

Fishing tackle is not a given on a boat this size, and Indy carries it, along with a beach tender for going ashore to the sand. She is a 53ft (17m) power catamaran from Xinlong Yachts, built in 2018.

Comfort under way

She holds an 18-knot cruise with 23 knots in reserve, so an anchorage further off stays within reach.

Water toys

Six toys travel with her. Paddleboards and a kayak let guests work their way around a bay under their own power, snorkelling gear opens up the water below, and inflatable toys come along too; the tackle is there for anyone who wants a line in the water.

Where she cruises

Phuket in Thailand is Indy's home port, and Thailand is where she cruises, year-round, with December, January, February and March her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

A crew of four runs her, and up to 45 guests can be aboard by day, so a large party stays together as a single group rather than splitting between boats. Wi-Fi is aboard, which keeps everyone in touch without a trip ashore.

She suits a group who want the water close at hand rather than admired from a distance; on a hire her crew handle the tender, the boards and the tackle, so guests can get straight in.
