Sea Explorer Power Catamaran
About Sea Explorer
Dive gear travels with Sea Explorer, so a day on the water can include time spent under it, and she takes up to twelve guests out at a time. She is a 47ft (15m) power catamaran, built by Stealth in 2019.
Comfort under way
She cruises at 18 knots and holds 23 flat out, which keeps bays further along the coast within reach instead of out of range.
Water toys
Seven toys come aboard with her: SUP boards, water skis and a wakeboard for the surface, snorkelling and scuba equipment for what lies beneath it, and fishing gear as well. A beach tender carries guests ashore.
Where she cruises
Sea Explorer's home port is Koh Samui, and she works the waters of Thailand, at her busiest in December, January, February and March.
Accommodation and crew
Four cabins sleep seven guests overnight, with air conditioning throughout and Wi-Fi that keeps the party in contact from the anchorage. A crew of two look after the boat and everyone aboard her.
Charter notes
She suits a family or a group of friends: seven can stay the night, and twelve can come along for a half-day or full-day hire in Thailand. For the divers in the group, the scuba equipment is already aboard, so getting below the surface is part of the day rather than something to arrange ashore.
