Mio Porcellino Power Catamaran

A single SUP board travels with Mio Porcellino and a 13ft tender takes guests ashore, but most of what she carries for the water is meant for a group rather than for a paddler on her own. She is a 78ft (24m) Lagoon power catamaran from 2023, with plenty of room inside and out for stretching out.

On deck

Meals can be taken outdoors on either level: the aft deck has its dining area, and the flybridge carries a dining area of its own together with a lounge and the captain's seat, so she is driven from the open air. Inside, the finish is modern and pared back in neutral tones.

Water toys

The ocean pool inflates and floats alongside her, so a guest who wants to be in the sea without swimming clear of the boat has somewhere to lie in the water. The banana boat is a towable that carries several riders together, and the swimming noodles are there for floating beside her.

Where she cruises

Sai Kung is her home port and Hong Kong is the only water she works, with Tai Long Wan among the places she reaches from there; she runs the whole year, her season at its height in April and May and again in October and November.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins, a master among them and each with a private bathroom, sleep eight guests overnight, and by day she can carry twenty-five, so a party far larger than the overnight group can come aboard. A crew of four runs her, and with a fully fitted galley the cooking is theirs, not the guests'.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 8 knots and makes 12 when pressed, and her catamaran hull keeps her level on the move, so the decks can be walked without a hand out for balance.

Charter notes

Mio Porcellino is offered for charter by the day and by the half-day, and she suits a family or a party of friends who want all of them aboard at once rather than only those with a berth, since a day's hire of her puts the whole group on the water in Hong Kong together.
