Blue Iris Power Catamaran

A queen bed in each of her four cabins is how Blue Iris sleeps eight, so nobody in the party is handed a bunk or a pullman berth. She is a 67ft (20m) Lagoon power catamaran built in 2023, and her layout gives every guest the same standard of bed.

Water toys

A 13ft tender runs guests ashore, and a single SUP board lets a paddler get away from the boat under their own power, while a floating mat and pool noodles give the others something to float on. Her swim platform is a step straight into the sea, with no climbing over the side.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Central, in Hong Kong, and she cruises Hong Kong waters, Tai Long Wan among the places she reaches, her busiest months falling in April and May and again in October and November.

Accommodation and crew

A crew of four, captain included, runs her for the eight who sleep aboard. Air conditioning keeps the cabins cool through the night and Wi-Fi keeps phones connected while she is out.

Comfort under way

The hull is designed for ocean crossings as much as for coastal cruising, so a day in local waters asks little of her, and the catamaran form gives her the stability and the deck space that a large party needs. She cruises at 8 knots with 12 knots in hand, an unhurried pace on the water.

On deck

The aft deck holds a lounge and a dining area, the cockpit is laid in teak, and a barbecue means meals can be cooked in the open air. The flybridge carries a lounge area of its own as well as the captain's helm, so guests can sit up top in the open, and a Bluetooth sound system with speakers plays whatever the party streams from a phone.

Charter notes

Blue Iris is offered for day and half-day hire, and she suits a family or a group of friends who want a boat of their own for a day charter around Hong Kong as much as a birthday, an anniversary or a corporate gathering, because by day she can carry thirty guests, a party many times the size of the group that sleeps aboard.
