About Blue Iris
A yacht a buyer can charter before deciding to buy removes most of the guesswork, and Blue Iris already does exactly that: she sails in Boatcrowd's own Hong Kong charter fleet, based out of Central. Lagoon, the catamaran builder, delivered her in 2023 as a Sixty 7. A buyer weighing her up can book a week aboard before deciding, then judge the rest afterwards.
Build and provenance
Blue Iris is built in fibreglass, with her exterior lines drawn by Patrick Le Quément and her interior by Nauta Design. At 20 metres (67 feet) length over a 10-metre beam, she carries the volume of a full-beam catamaran rather than a narrow monohull, and her 1.5-metre draught lets her sit in anchorages a deeper yacht could not reach. She is listed as a used yacht at 43 gross tonnes, built new in 2023 and now offered for sale.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, one a master suite and three more, with a crew of four to run the boat and look after them. That is enough crew to keep a full boat running comfortably, whether she is chartering in Hong Kong or carrying her owner's guests.
Performance and engineering
Twin Yanmar diesels of 440 hp each give Blue Iris an 8-knot cruise and a 12-knot top speed, modest numbers that suit a catamaran built for steady, comfortable passages rather than for speed. A quoted range of 2,500 nautical miles on diesel puts long, open-water routes within reach rather than just coastal hops.
Where she lies and how to see her
She lies in Hong Kong, where Boatcrowd already runs her as a charter yacht from a base in Central. We arrange and attend viewings there, and once a buyer's offer is accepted, a survey and sea trial follow before handover. Because she already charters with us, a prospective buyer can book time aboard and get to know her on the water before making that offer.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
