About Ariva

A jacuzzi set into her foredeck and a shallow draft made for secluded bays are the two facts that shape a week on Ariva, a 67ft (20m) power catamaran from Fountaine Pajot Algeria, built in 2023 to carry a party of ten.

Accommodation and crew

Those ten sleep in five cabins, a king bed in the owner's suite and a queen in each of the four double cabins, and every cabin has a bathroom of its own, so no cabin shares. By day she carries the same ten and no more, and a crew of three looks after them, three pairs of hands for a party of ten. The galley is up on the main deck, and generator and inverter power keep her systems running away from the quay.

Comfort under way

Twin Volvo diesels give her a 15-knot cruise with 19 knots on tap, burning 140 litres of fuel an hour, and her cabins are air-conditioned and mechanically ventilated, with windscoops for the hatches, so there is moving air below with or without the air conditioning running.

On deck

The foredeck holds both the jacuzzi and a lounge shaded by a sun awning, and a hammock travels with her. Speakers on the flybridge carry music up top, a bimini gives shade and a deck shower rinses off the salt, while her generous deck space is given over to sunbathing and to eating outside.

Water toys

Her tender is a Highfield 420SP with a 60hp outboard and room for five, so five can go ashore in a single trip. She tows a tube for two and adult water skis, and carries a Seabob, two paddleboards, snorkelling gear and fishing gear besides. Two floating docks of 3 m by 3 m and a round inflatable dock with a net, a flat pool 3 m across, give the party somewhere to lie out on the sea and a netted pool to float in.

Where she cruises

Corfu is her home port and the Ionian Sea is her cruising ground, so time aboard Ariva is spent in Greece, with her season at its height through July and August.

Charter notes

Ariva suits two couples or a family of up to ten, and she is offered for hire by the week or as a three-day charter out of Greece. Her hydraulic swim platform lowers to the surface of the sea, and for a family that is the detail that counts: the water is reached straight from the deck.
