About Elly II

Lithium batteries topped up by solar panels run the air conditioning on Elly II through the night without a generator, and under way her twin Volvo D8 engines use 200 litres of fuel an hour while she cruises at 12 knots. She is a 73ft (22m) Fountaine Pajot power catamaran, built in 2027.

Water toys

Two Seabobs mean two guests can be in the water on them at the same time, and alongside them she carries an E-foil, two paddleboards and a kayak. Her 15ft Highfield Sport tender pulls water skis and a wakeboard, each in adult and children's sizes, a towable couch that seats three riders and two tubes. Full-face snorkelling masks, fishing gear, a water carpet, floating noodles and a volleyball net complete her kit.

Where she cruises

Lefkada in Greece is her home port and the whole of Greece her cruising ground, under a Greek flag, her season peaking in July and August.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins on Elly II sleep ten guests, the owner's suite on a king-size bed and the four guest cabins on queens, every cabin with its own bathroom, safe, hairdryer, hair iron and steam iron. Bathrobes and slippers are provided for each guest along with a full set of toiletries, a washer and dryer let laundry be done aboard, and each guest has unlimited Wi-Fi. Twelve can be aboard by day, looked after by the same crew of four who run her for the ten who stay overnight.

Comfort under way

Berret-Racoupeau drew her two GRP hulls, which top out at 16 knots, and she carries two generators and two watermakers, so fresh water is made on board, with a filtration system delivering purified drinking water, still and sparkling.

On deck

Her living space divides into an aft terrace, a flybridge open to the view all round and a forward saloon extended by a spa. The beach club at her stern opens directly onto the sea, with a sun lounger, a hydraulic platform, generous stowage and a deck jacuzzi, so the water is a step away. A projector gives her a home cinema, with televisions in the saloon and in the master cabin as well, and TRX straps, yoga mats, weights and a spin bicycle mean a workout can be done aboard.

Charter notes

Elly II suits a family with children, or two couples, and she is offered for a full week's charter or for a three-day hire, with the owner's suite giving whichever couple takes it 25 square metres to themselves.
