D2 Power Catamaran

Fuel drawn at 160 litres an hour is the figure that says most about D2, a 67ft (20m) power catamaran that Fountaine Pajot built in 2024 to run on her engines alone, with no rig above her decks and two hulls beneath them.

Water toys

A 15ft Highfield tender carries guests ashore, and nine toys travel aboard. Two SUP boards give two paddlers a board each, and there is a kayak as well for whoever prefers a seat to standing. Water skis, a wakeboard and a towable are for being pulled at speed, a Sea Scooter and snorkelling gear are for time in the water itself, and fishing tackle is aboard for anyone who wants to drop a line.

Where she cruises

Lefkada in Greece is her home port, and Greece is the only country she works, with July and August the pair of months that make her high season.

Accommodation and crew

Four air-conditioned double cabins sleep eight guests, each with a double bed, and a crew of three runs D2 for them, so the guests are looked after from the first morning to the last.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 16 knots and has 19 in hand, and because she rides on two hulls set apart, her decks stay level and wide at speed rather than narrowing towards a single keel.

On deck

A jacuzzi on deck gives hot water in the open air, and a swim platform brings the sea level with the boat, so getting in and out of the water is a matter of a step.

Charter notes

D2 suits a family or a group of friends of up to eight, and she is offered by the week, for three days or for a single day's hire, so a charter can run as long or as short as the group wants. By day she carries up to twelve guests, so the eight who sleep aboard can have others join them for the daylight hours.
