Chiloe Luxury Catamaran

Under engine Chiloe asks 10 litres an hour and her generator 4, and solar panels feed her batteries at anchor so the generator need not keep running. She is a 67ft (20m) luxury catamaran from Fountaine Pajot, built in 2022, and her watermaker makes fresh water from the sea, so no port stop for a refill.

Comfort under way

A black carbon mast carries her mainsail, genoa, staysail and gennaker, and electric winches do the hauling. She cruises at 8 knots with 12 available, and Garmin plotters at both the inside and outside helms keep her course in view.

On deck

The flybridge is a room of its own, with a galley, a dining table, seating and open-air sunbathing space. Forward, a second sun area holds the jacuzzi and its own seats, and the shaded cockpit sits level with the galley and the bow, where a hotplate and an outdoor fridge serve open-air cooking.

Water toys

A 4.5 m semi-rigid dinghy with its own helm station handles trips ashore, and the hydraulic bathing platform makes swimming a step down rather than a climb. Two paddleboards let two go off at once, and snorkelling gear and inflatable games are aboard.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Ibiza, and she cruises the Balearic Islands of Spain; her Wi-Fi runs unlimited data inside Spain, and July and August are her peak months.

Accommodation and crew

Four en suite cabins – a master stateroom and three doubles – sleep eight, each with an electric toilet and separate shower, and air conditioning that heats as well as cools. Twelve can be aboard for a day on the water, with three crew in their own quarters looking after them.

Charter notes

Chiloe suits a family or friends, over a full week or a shorter three-day charter, and a chef can be hired to take on the menus and the cooking.
