Good Mood Sailing Catamaran

A Sea Scooter and fishing tackle come aboard Good Mood, a 46ft (14m) Lagoon sailing catamaran from 2021, which gives her guests something to do under the water as well as on it.

Accommodation and crew

Two cabins, each with a queen bed, sleep four guests, and both are air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi aboard. A crew of two runs her, so on a four-guest boat there is a crew member for every two people aboard.

Comfort under way

She sails at 8 knots and tops out at 12, and her twin hulls keep her upright rather than heeled, which makes moving around on deck straightforward under way.

On deck

A swim platform handles the coming and going, so getting into the sea and back out is a matter of a step or two.

Water toys

Two SUP boards send a pair of paddlers off together, snorkelling gear is aboard as well, and a 13ft tender takes the party ashore.

Where she cruises

Marigot in St Martin is her home port, and she keeps a second base at St Thomas, so a week can begin at either end of her range. From St Martin she also reaches St Barths, the British Virgin Islands and the USVI.

Charter notes

Good Mood is chartered by the week, busiest in January, February, March and December, and a week's hire suits two couples, with a queen cabin for each. Twelve can be aboard for a day on the water, so the daytime party need not stop at the four who sleep aboard.
