Kona Motor Yacht
About Kona
Kona has a water slide, which turns her deck into a direct route into the sea, and a swim platform for climbing back aboard. Walker built this 110ft (34m) motor yacht in 2022, and she is based in the United Arab Emirates.
Where she cruises
Kona keeps her home port in Dubai, and she works the coast of the United Arab Emirates along with Bahrain and Qatar, so a charter can stay close to the city or cross to another country's water.
Accommodation and crew
Four cabins sleep eight guests, in a king, a double and two twin rooms, so a family of that size settles in without anyone doubling up. Four crew are aboard with them.
Comfort under way
She cruises at 14 knots and tops out at 20, which keeps the move from anchorage to anchorage short.
On deck
A jacuzzi on deck gives guests somewhere to sit and soak after swimming, and there is karaoke aboard for the singers among them; her peak months are January, February, November and December.
Water toys
She carries six toys: a jet ski for whoever wants to ride it, a banana boat and a donut ride to be towed on, snorkelling gear, and a 13ft tender that takes guests ashore.
Charter notes
Kona suits a family or a group of friends who judge a hire by hours spent in the water rather than distance covered, and by day she can carry 85 people, far more than the eight who sleep aboard, which opens her up to a gathering the cabins could never hold.
