Surina Superyacht

Surina carries three tenders – a 41ft Intrepid, a 34ft Marlin and a 22ft ZAR – so a party of twelve heading for a beach need not squeeze into a single boat, and two or three boats can be ashore at the same time. She is a 147ft (44m) Trident superyacht, built in 2000, and those three boats are the first sign of how much of a week aboard is arranged around her guests rather than around the yacht.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Marigot in St Martin, and she is the longest of the eight yachts based there. From Marigot her waters take in St Martin, St Barths and Anguilla, three grounds she can reach without changing her base, all of it in the Caribbean.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep twelve guests overnight, and eight crew are aboard to see to them. By day she carries twelve as well, so the group on board stays at the size that sleeps there.

Comfort under way

Refitted in 2020, she cruises at 14 knots with 22 available when there is distance to cover, and her high season falls in December, January, February and March.

On deck

A jacuzzi on deck means the soak is taken under open sky, and her swim platform brings the sea to within a step of the deck, so getting into the water and back out asks no effort of the guest.

Water toys

Two Yamaha Wave Runners give two riders their own machines, and six SUP boards let six people paddle off from her side at the same time. Water skis and two wakeboards are there for towing, a surfboard rides along, and gear for fishing and for snorkelling completes what she carries for the water.

Charter notes

Surina is on hire by the week and suits two couples or a family. For an event she can host fifty guests, so the circle aboard can grow well beyond the twelve who sleep in her cabins.
