Clase Azul Motor Sailer

Natasa Orlovic of NO.MAD Design gave Clase Azul an interior built around daylight, modern materials and calm colours, and Radez drew her lines outside. Tramontana Yachts built her in 2022 as a 158ft (48m) motor sailer, a boat made to be sailed yet with the volume and comfort of a powered yacht, and she was refitted in 2024. She is among three of her builder's yachts available for charter.

Comfort under way

Under sail or engine she cruises at 9 knots and reaches 11 at most, an unhurried pace on a boat whose whole point is the sailing, and it is in July and August that her season reaches its height.

On deck

Her sundeck is given over to the open air: a jacuzzi that takes eight, oversized sun loungers, a fire pit, a wet bar and a projector for open-air cinema. Places to eat and sit, inside and out, are spread across her decks with shade where it is needed, so a party of twelve can take a meal outdoors or under cover, and a swim platform puts the sea a step away.

Water toys

An 8m Brig Eagle tender runs the party ashore and a dinghy travels with Clase Azul as a second tender, so two boats can be away from the yacht at the same time. Two Seadoo jet skis mean two riders at once, and two Seabob F5S, an e-foil, two paddleboards and two inflatable kayaks keep the water busy; water skis come in adult and children's sizes, there is a water joust, and an inflatable trampoline can be brought aboard on request. Twelve sets of snorkelling gear, six for adults and six for children, put every guest in the water together, and fishing equipment travels with her too. Inflatable platforms and dock stations hold the toys ready in the water, and an Axopar 37 chase boat can be arranged on prior request.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Zadar in Croatia, and she operates through Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia, so three coastlines lie within her reach.

Accommodation and crew

Six staterooms sleep twelve, two of them with king beds and four laid out as twins or doubles, and she carries the same twelve by day as she sleeps overnight. Both the master and the VIP stretch the full width of the hull, and the VIP has a separate entrance of its own – a layout made for two principal guests. A crew of ten looks after them, which leaves close to a crew member for every guest.

Charter notes

Clase Azul suits two couples who can split the full-beam suites between them, or a family, since children and pets are both welcome aboard. She is available to hire for a full week or for three days, so a family that cannot spare a whole week still gets her.
