Nocturno Motor Sailer

A jacuzzi set into the deck is where to start with Nocturno: a tub of warm water in the open air, on a 158ft (48m) motor sailer built by Custom Made in 2023, so nothing aboard her has had time to wear.

Comfort under way

Under power she cruises at 11 knots and tops out at 15, using 110 litres of fuel an hour, and at that pace a passage along the coast becomes a steady part of the day rather than a sprint between stops.

On deck

A swim platform sits at water level, so getting in for a swim means stepping down rather than climbing over the rail, and getting out again is as simple. Air conditioning runs through her interior and there is Wi-Fi aboard, so the heat of the day stays outside and a message home goes out from wherever the sender happens to be sitting.

Water toys

Nocturno carries a 13ft tender, the boat that runs guests ashore and brings them back to her at anchor, and snorkelling gear, so anybody curious about what lies under the surface can go over the side and look.

Where she cruises

Split, in Croatia, is her home port, and she works the waters of Croatia and Montenegro, which gives her guests the coast of two countries to choose an anchorage from.

Accommodation and crew

Six cabins sleep twelve guests overnight, so a party of twelve has six doors to close, and by day she can have thirty people aboard. Nine crew look after them, which on a twelve-guest yacht puts nearly as many people serving as being served, and July and August are the height of her season.

Charter notes

Nocturno suits two couples who each want a cabin of their own and a deck to share, or a family with enough cabins for the children to have their own. Her hire runs by the week, and for an event charter she can take forty guests aboard.
