G.T.U. Motor Yacht

G.T.U. carries a beach club at her stern – a grill for barbecues, seating that folds down and a rain shower – together with an extended bathing platform, so getting into the sea and rinsing off afterwards are both dealt with at the back of the boat. She is a 77ft (24m) Sunseeker motor yacht, built in 2026 and new to charter.

Comfort under way

Two MAN V12 diesels on shaft drives push her Deep-V planing hull to a 22-knot cruise, at which she burns 360 litres of fuel an hour, and on to 32 knots when a longer leg calls for it. Hydraulic stabilisers act while she lies at anchor as well as while she is moving, which takes much of the motion out of her at both.

On deck

The flybridge sits under a composite hardtop with a canopy that retracts electrically and an awning aft, so the top deck can be opened to the sun or closed over against it. The foredeck carries large sunbeds, seating that can be rearranged and a fridge built in, keeping drinks cold up forward. Sonance marine speakers with Sonos amplification are wired to the aft cockpit, the flybridge and the foredeck, giving each outdoor area its own music, and underwater lights show the sea around her hull after dark.

Water toys

Seven toys go with her: a Williams 385 tender tows the inflatable banana and an inflatable couch, two Seabobs go out for two riders at a time, and two paddleboards, water skis, a surfboard and snorkelling gear cover the rest of the party. A drone follows the water sports and films them from above.

Where she cruises

G.T.U. is based at Amalfi in Italy, her peak season falling in July and August, and the whole of her operating area stays within Italy. Her waters take in the Amalfi Coast, Sicily and Sardinia, the Tuscan Archipelago and Portofino with the Cinque Terre; the archipelago is a spread of islands, so it gives her a choice of anchorages rather than a single shore.

Accommodation and crew

Eight guests sleep in four cabins, each with its own bathroom: a full-beam master, a VIP, a guest double and a fourth made up either as twins or as a double, the beds between them a king, a queen, a double and that convertible twin, and a crew of three runs her from their own quarters.

Charter notes

G.T.U. suits a family or a group of friends who take her by the week, for three days or for a single day, with events catered for as well. For day hire the guest count rises to twelve, and the open main deck – its galley in the same room as the lounge sofa and the dining table, with large windows on the sea – gives a party of that size a single space to share.
