Luar Motor Yacht

Luar works from two home ports rather than a single base, which gives guests two points to join her from. She is an 87ft (26m) Sanlorenzo motor yacht, built in 2018.

On deck

A swim platform gives her a flat place level with the sea, so getting in for a swim is a matter of stepping down.

Water toys

She carries two Seabob F5S, so two guests can take them out at the same time, and a SUP board for quieter paddling. Snorkelling gear is aboard, along with fishing kit for anyone who wants to put a line out.

Where she cruises

La Spezia, in Italy, is her home port, and Portofino is her second base. From either she cruises Italy, France and Monaco, three countries' waters within her ground.

Accommodation and crew

Four air-conditioned cabins sleep eight guests overnight, and twelve can be aboard by day. The beds are a king, two queens and a twin, with a pullman berth besides.

Comfort under way

Her cruise is 17 knots and her top speed 21, which puts more of the coast within reach.

Charter notes

Luar suits a family or a group of friends travelling together, and she can be taken by the week or for a hire of three days at the shortest, with July and August her peak months. A crew of four looks after eight guests, a crew member for every two aboard through the week.
