SL86 Motor Yacht

A king, two doubles and a twin across four cabins set the shape of the SL86: eight guests sleeping aboard, and a group free to arrange itself four ways. She is an 86ft (26m) Sanlorenzo motor yacht from 2019, refreshed in a 2024 refit.

Accommodation and crew

Her crew of four – a captain, two deckhands and a stewardess – look after those eight, a crew member for every couple staying the night. By day she can carry 20, a far larger gathering than she sleeps.

Comfort under way

The SL86 cruises at 20 knots with 25 knots in reserve, and stabilisers that work at rest as well as under way keep the roll down both at anchor and on the move.

On deck

The flybridge carries a bar, a dining area and room to lie in the sun, out in the open air, while the aft deck is laid out for dining as well, with a barbecue for cooking outside. Inside, the main saloon has its own dining table and sofa lounge, the galley is fully fitted, and karaoke is aboard for a group that likes to sing.

Water toys

A 13ft tender runs guests ashore, and two SUP boards put two paddlers out at once, alongside an Ocean Ring and swimming noodles; the swim platform gives an easy way back out of the water.

Where she cruises

Sai Kung is her home port, and she works the Hong Kong coastline, runs out to Tai Long Wan and crosses to Macau.

Charter notes

She is available for hire by the day or the half day, and her peak months are April, May, October and November. Either way a family or a group of friends gets the run of a crewed yacht in Hong Kong, with the whole of her to themselves.
