Cloud IX Motor Yacht
About Cloud IX
Twelve guests can be aboard Cloud IX for a day on the water and seven can stay the night, which gives this 78ft (24m) Sanlorenzo motor yacht two quite different characters. She was built in 2019 and has been kept in fine order since.
Comfort under way
Her stabilisers work under way, so there is less roll while she is moving, and she holds a cruise of 14 knots with 24 knots at the top end.
On deck
A beach club brings the party down to the sea, and with a swim platform as well, getting in and out of the water is a matter of stepping down rather than climbing.
Water toys
A 13ft Williams jet tender handles the trips ashore. A Seabob and a jet ski each take a rider, two stand-up paddleboards let a pair set off under their own power, and water skis, a wakeboard and a pair of Jobe towables are there for being towed. Snorkelling gear is stowed aboard for shallow water.
Where she cruises
Cloud IX keeps her home port at Mallorca and cruises within Spain, her peak falling in July and August.
Accommodation and crew
Three en-suite cabins – two with double beds and a third twin that converts to a double – take the adults, with a pullman berth for a child, and seven sleep aboard in all. Air conditioning runs throughout. A crew of three, a chef among them, looks after everyone.
Charter notes
She suits a family or a group of friends who want Spain from the water. Cloud IX charters by the week or for three days, and can also be hired for a single day, which is the way to bring the wider group aboard.
