P82 Motor Yacht

Stabilisers that work while she is under way take the roll out of a passage, and on P82 the main deck they steady holds a full-beam master stateroom with its own door out to the forepeak terrace. She is an 82ft (25m) motor yacht from Pearl, built in 2024, with a raised pilothouse and an interior by Kelly Hoppen.

On deck

Her extended flybridge carries a full-sized dining table, sun pads and a wet bar with a sink, a fridge and a barbecue, all beneath a hard top whose sunroof tilts and slides to shade the table or open it to the sky. A direct way leads from the flybridge to the foredeck lounge, which has large sun-pads of its own with seating and a table, so there are two open-air tables to gather around. The cockpit is laid in teak, a hydraulic passerelle takes guests aboard from the quay, and a hydraulic bathing platform lowers to bring the water within a step.

Water toys

A 13ft tender lives in her garage alongside a Seabob, and it is the tender that takes the party ashore. Two paddleboards let two people paddle off at the same time, for towing she carries water skis, a wakeboard and a towable donut, and snorkelling gear goes in the water with whoever wants to look below the surface.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Mallorca and Spain is her cruising ground, with July and August her high season, so a week of yacht charter aboard her begins and ends in Spain.

Accommodation and crew

Five en-suite staterooms sleep ten guests overnight, and by day she can carry twelve. The king bed is in the master, two staterooms have queen beds and two are twins, each with its own bathroom. Her crew of two, a captain and a stewardess, have separate quarters, so all five staterooms are for guests.

Comfort under way

Bill Dixon drew her hull and exterior, and twin MAN engines on shaft drive give P82 a cruising speed of 16 knots with 26 knots at the top, so a longer leg along the coast is over sooner. Humphree interceptors trim her automatically as she runs.

Charter notes

P82 suits a family or two couples, and she can be hired by the week or by the day, with up to eighteen guests aboard for an event, so more people can be with her for an occasion than she has beds for.
