About K-2

Fold-down terraces open the beach club of K-2 straight onto the sea, so the water is reached from the terrace itself. She is a 117ft (36m) Sanlorenzo superyacht built in 2024, and her interior is the work of Patricia Urquiola.

Comfort under way

Two CAT C32 ACERT diesels give her a cruising speed of 14 knots and 17 knots when pressed, on 300 litres of fuel an hour. Stillness counts for more aboard than pace, though: the stabilisers are the zero-speed type, damping the roll while she lies stopped, and they stay in action on a passage too, and her running is quiet as well as smooth.

On deck

K-2 is laid out over three decks. The upper deck is asymmetric, which frees interior volume and widens the view from inside, and a balcony in its side folds open to the water. The sundeck carries a bar, a lounge area and sunpads, the foredeck has a split-level lounge set apart from the rest, and dining and lounge areas are spread across the decks outdoors, so there is a choice of where to sit down in the open air. From an iPad in each cabin guests set their own lighting and music, with Netflix and Airplay on the cabin televisions, and Starlink carries the Wi-Fi.

Water toys

Her chase tender is a Technohull 38 Grand Sport from 2024 with twin Mercury engines, which takes guests ashore and tows the water skis and the wakeboard. Two SiFly e-foils and two Seabob F5S mean two riders can be out on each at the same time, a Seadoo Spark Trixx seats two while a Kawasaki stand-up jet ski takes a single rider, and two SUPs are carried besides. Inflatable toys are aboard for children, and snorkelling and fishing equipment travel with them.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Santorini in Greece, and Greece is where she cruises, so the coast she works and the water her toys go into are Mediterranean, with July and August her high season.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep eleven guests on a king, three queens, a twin and a Pullman berth: a full-beam master, two VIP cabins, a double and a convertible cabin that holds the Pullman and is made up to suit whoever is aboard. Twelve can be on board by day, and a crew of seven looks after them, seven crew for eleven guests overnight.

Charter notes

K-2 is offered by the week or as a three-day hire, and she suits two couples or a family, the convertible cabin changing with the party aboard while the full-beam master takes the whole width of the hull.
