Tiger Lilly Power Boat

Twin Mercury Verado engines take Tiger Lilly to 42 knots, with a 30-knot cruise, and the deep-V hull beneath them stays soft and stable at that pace. She is a 38ft (12m) power boat, built in 2020, flagged in Thailand and the only Nuova Jolly at her base.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Phuket, Thailand, and the Andaman Sea is her cruising water. Phang Nga Bay, Koh Hong in Krabi, Phi Phi Island and the Racha Islands are in range, and Coral Island is set up for water sports. Maithon has dolphin families that play around the boat, and Promthep Cape is a romantic spot for sunset; Phuket's best beaches, white sand and clear water, run along the west coast. She works year-round, December through March being her busiest months.

Accommodation and crew

The single cabin, up in the bow, has a berth for two and its own marine WC, so she sleeps a couple, while by day eight can come aboard. Two crew run her, air conditioning keeps the cabin cool, and the shower washes off salt and sand in privacy.

She handles with precision, holds her stability at speed and stays soft over the water.

On deck

The bow dinette converts into a sunbed, so the same space serves a meal and then a spell in the sun, and the stern platforms make stepping into the water easy.

Water toys

Two SUP boards travel with her, so two can paddle out together, and there is snorkelling gear for time in the water and a fishing rod for a line over the side.

Charter notes

Tiger Lilly takes day and half-day charters, eight hours on the water with lunch cooked aboard, fruit, drinks and fresh towels at the start. Trips are put together around what guests want to see, which for a couple means the day's islands are theirs to choose.
