Vivierae II Motor Yacht
About Vivierae II
A hyperbaric dive chamber and complete sets of dive gear are carried aboard Vivierae II, a 98ft (30m) motor yacht drawn and built by Nordhavn in 2017 and refitted in 2021.
Comfort under way
Her GRP displacement hull and stabilisers that work at anchor as well as under way mean less roll whether she is moving or stopped, and two Caterpillar diesels give her a 10-knot cruise, 12 knots at the top, on 83.3 litres an hour.
On deck
The skylounge aft of the pilothouse holds a pull-out sofa and a television, and its electric doors open onto a deck with a bar, a drinks fridge and a barbecue, so the cooking can be done outdoors. A hardtop bimini shades the sundeck, and she carries a deck jacuzzi and exercise equipment.
Water toys
A 39ft custom tender and two RIBs take guests ashore, and an RYA water sports centre runs from aboard, with three inflatable paddleboards, two inflatable kayaks, a ZUP board, water skis, a towable raft, two underwater scooters and snorkelling and fishing gear.
Where she cruises
Quepos in Costa Rica is her home port. Vivierae II works Costa Rica and Panama and ranges to Mexico, Bermuda and the US and British Virgin Islands, coastline and island groups both within reach.
Accommodation and crew
Five cabins sleep ten guests, three with king beds and two with twins that convert, and a crew of five looks after them, a crew member for every two guests.
Charter notes
Charters run by the week, January to March and December her peak months, and twelve can be aboard by day, more than sleep aboard. She suits a family or two couples with divers among them, the sort of group that takes the whole boat and crew on a single hire.
