Yakos Motor Yacht

A 10ft Avon Seasport tender travels with Yakos, which is how guests reach the shore. She is a 70ft (21m) Maiora motor yacht, built in 2007 and refitted in 2019.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 20 knots and will push to 26, on 290 litres an hour, which brings a bay further along the coast within reach.

On deck

The swim platform puts the water a step away and, just as usefully, makes getting back aboard easy after a swim.

Water toys

Yakos carries six toys. Two SUP boards let a pair of paddlers head out together, a towable donut and a floating mat come out for time spent in the water, and there is gear aboard for snorkelling and for fishing.

Where she cruises

Sardinia, in Italy, is her home port, and she keeps a second base at Antibes, so her cruising takes in the coasts of Italy and France.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins, all air-conditioned, sleep eight guests overnight. The beds are a king, a queen, twin berths and a pullman. A crew of two comes with every hire, with July and August her peak months, and Wi-Fi runs throughout for anyone who needs to stay reachable.

For a family or a group of friends, a week's charter aboard her is built around the water: eight sleep on board, and twelve can be aboard for a day out.
