Lady Azul Superyacht
About Lady Azul
A beach club opens Lady Azul to the sea, and her layout runs on that idea of easy water, with a swim platform as well and a gym on board so that a workout need not wait for the shore. She is a 128ft (39m) Heesen superyacht, built in 2001 and refitted in 2024, her exterior drawn by Omega Architects and her interior, warm and bright, by Paola D. Smith & Associates and Luxury Projects.
On deck
Outdoors she has a main aft deck, an upper deck that carries a salon of its own and a dining area in the open air, and a sundeck given over to lying in the sun. Inside, the main salon has its own dining area, so a meal can be taken under cover as well as out in the air with the sea around the table.
Water toys
She carries nine toys. SUP boards and a kayak are for moving under paddle power, a water ski, a wakeboard and towable toys for being pulled at speed, and there is fishing gear too, while snorkelling equipment lets a guest see what lies under the surface. A beach tender carries the party ashore.
Where she cruises
Her home port is Phuket in Thailand. Her grounds take in Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and Singapore, four countries in Southeast Asia, and she has the range to reach across them, so the choice of coast is wide.
Accommodation and crew
Five staterooms sleep ten guests in three doubles and two twins, a master stateroom with its own bathroom and a VIP stateroom among them, and by day eighteen can be aboard. Seven crew run her for those ten guests, with her peak falling in December and the first three months of the year.
Comfort under way
Under way Lady Azul holds 10 knots and can reach 14, using 150 litres of fuel an hour at her cruising speed. Her stabilisers are the zero-speed type, taking the roll out while she lies stopped as well as while she is moving, so she stays level at anchor as she does on passage.
Charter notes
Lady Azul is offered for charter by the week or for three days, a hire that suits two couples or a family who want the water within easy reach, and for a party of divers the deciding fact is that she is equipped for scuba diving, so the dives begin from the yacht itself.
