Running on Waves Motor Sailer
About Running on Waves
A water slide ends in the sea, and two tenders, a 21ft Arimar and a 15ft RIB, work between Running on Waves and the shore, so a trip ashore can leave a boat at the yacht. She is a 210ft (64m) motor sailer built at Gdansk in 2011, with an interior by the Stroganov Art Academy.
Comfort under way
She cruises at 12 knots with 18 in reserve on 75 litres an hour, and her stabilisers work under way and at zero speed, so there is less roll moving or anchored.
On deck
A swim platform brings guests to water level for getting in and out, and there is a jacuzzi in the open air. A gym, a spa and a cinema give the party somewhere to be away from the water.
Water toys
Twelve toys travel with her. A pair of Seabobs puts two riders under the surface together, two paddleboards and two kayaks give slower ways round the water under their own power, and water skis, a wakeboard and a towable banana need only a tender to pull them. A surfboard, fishing tackle and snorkelling gear make up the rest.
Where she cruises
Limassol is her home port, and of the twelve yachts based there she is the longest, and the longest in Cyprus. She cruises Cyprus and Turkey, Greece, Croatia and Montenegro, and works Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates too.
Accommodation and crew
Eighteen cabins sleep forty-two guests overnight, and a crew of nineteen sails her and looks after them.
Charter notes
Running on Waves suits a large family or a group travelling together, and she hires by the week or for three days, her busiest months being January, February, July, August, November and December. By day she can take a hundred people, and an event aboard runs to the same number.
