Albatros Motor Yacht

Fishing gear and a Seabob both travel with Albatros, so a guest who wants to put a line over the side finds the tackle already aboard rather than something to source ashore. She is an 85ft (26m) motor yacht from Custom Made, and with a build year of 2023 she is a recent boat throughout.

Comfort under way

Under way Albatros settles at 10 knots, with 15 knots at the top of her range when a move needs to be quicker, and at her cruising pace a passage from place to place stays unhurried.

On deck

Her swim platform puts the sea a step from the deck, so a swim starts and ends at the boat itself rather than from the tender.

Water toys

An 11ft tender carries the party ashore, and Albatros also has a kayak, towable toys and snorkelling gear aboard. The kayak is for a paddle away from the boat under a guest's own power, the towables for being pulled at speed behind a boat, and the snorkelling gear for a look at whatever lies under the surface.

Where she cruises

Her home port is Bodrum in Turkey, and Turkey is the whole of her cruising ground, with the height of her summer there falling in July and August.

Accommodation and crew

Six cabins sleep twelve guests – a king, four doubles and a twin – and twelve is also the most she carries by day. Air conditioning through the accommodation keeps the cabins cool and Wi-Fi keeps phones connected, while a crew of four looks after the twelve, so each crew member has several guests in their care rather than a single guest.

Charter notes

Albatros suits a family or couples holidaying together, and she is offered for a week's hire or a shorter charter. Her crew runs her for the whole of the stay, which leaves the party aboard with nothing to run and the week to spend on the water.
