Il Capo Motor Yacht

Luiz de Basto Designs shaped the interior of Il Capo and Donald L. Blount & Associates drew her exterior; she is a 110ft (34m) Broward motor yacht from 2004, refitted in 2017.

Accommodation and crew

Four cabins take eight guests overnight, between them a king bed, a pair of queens and a twin, and five crew run her, enough hands that a group of eight is closely looked after. By day she carries twelve, four more than stay the night.

Comfort under way

Stabilisers work under way and at zero speed, so there is less roll both when she is moving and when she is lying still. She cruises at 15 knots and holds 19 in reserve.

On deck

The deck jacuzzi sits out in the open air, and the swim platform gives a simple way in and out of the sea.

Water toys

Eleven toys travel with her, among them two Seadoos and two Seabobs, so two riders can go out together on either, plus two paddleboards. A wakeboard, a kneeboard, towables and inflatable toys come too, along with fishing tackle, and the 29ft Donzi tender takes guests ashore.

Where she cruises

Il Capo has her home port at Freeport, in the Bahamas. Her cruising covers the Bahamas and the USA.

Charter notes

Il Capo suits a family or a group of friends, eight sleeping aboard for a week's hire and twelve for a day charter, with December, January, February and March her peak months. She carries scuba diving and snorkelling gear, so divers in the party have what they need aboard rather than ashore.
