Ale II Motor Yacht

Three Volvo Penta IPS drives move Ale II on 200 litres of fuel an hour, and the hull they push belongs to a 71ft (24m) Azimut S7 motor yacht built in 2023.

Water toys

Two Seabobs come with her hire, which means two riders in the water at the same time, and she also carries a Sea-Doo Spark jet ski and a paddleboard, the board for standing and paddling at an easy pace. Snorkelling gear gives guests a look at what lies beneath her at anchor, and an 11ft Williams Turbojet 325 tender takes them ashore without her having to leave the bay.

Where she cruises

Ale II keeps her home port at Marina di Stabia in Naples, Italy, and beyond Italian waters she works France, Monaco and Malta. Within Italy her range takes in the Amalfi Coast, the Pontine Islands, Sardinia and Sicily, a mix of coastline and islands that gives coast to swim off and shore to land on. Tuscany and Liguria, including the Cinque Terre, round out the Italian list.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six guests, two of them doubles and the third a twin, and the master suite has a dressing area of its own as well as an ensuite bathroom. Her crew of three, a captain and two others, means a crew member for every pair of guests when all six berths are taken.

Comfort under way

Under way she cruises at 14 knots and reaches 24, so the water between two bays passes quickly, and her ride at sea is smooth.

On deck

Her sport-fly has room to eat outside and a mobile bar, so both a meal and a drink can be had in the open air. On the main deck the lounge opens straight onto the deck outside, and large windows down her sides bring daylight into the saloon, so the interior is bright by day.

Charter notes

A charter of Ale II runs by the week or for three days, July and August being her high season, and she suits a family or a group of friends of up to six. For a day on the water she takes twelve, so a larger party than the six who sleep aboard can share a day with her.
