Magellano Power Boat
About Magellano
Magellano carries underwater lights, so the water around her is lit after dark, and a refit in 2025 brought her back up to date. She is a 55ft (16m) Azimut power boat, built in 2000.
Comfort under way
She settles into a cruise of 12 knots and holds 24 knots in reserve, and her engines draw 200 litres of fuel an hour.
On deck
A swim platform gives swimmers a place to get in and climb back out, and with a barbecue grill, a dishwasher and a washer-dryer aboard, the everyday business of a week is dealt with on board rather than left waiting.
Water toys
Her 12ft Joker tender does the runs ashore, and snorkelling gear travels with her, so a quiet bay can be seen from under the surface as well as from her decks.
Where she cruises
Magellano cruises in Italy from her home port at Sorrento, July and August being her peak months.
Accommodation and crew
Three cabins sleep six in a king, a queen and a twin, with air conditioning and Wi-Fi aboard, and a crew of two runs her.
Charter notes
Magellano suits a family or a few friends who want a small crewed boat in Italy, and she is offered for charter by the week, for three days or for a day. A day hire can take ten aboard, so a wider group than the six who sleep aboard can be out on the water with her.
