Monica Motor Yacht

A 2021 refit sits over a hull built in 2008, and the first thing to register about this 50ft (15m) Azimut motor yacht is her pace: Monica cruises at 27 knots and runs on to 33.

Water toys

Snorkelling gear travels with her, and getting back aboard afterwards is easy, since a hydraulic bathing platform and a telescopic ladder aft take the effort out of the climb.

Where she cruises

Abu Dhabi is her home port, and she works the coast of the United Arab Emirates, her peak months falling in November, December, January and February.

Accommodation and crew

Two air-conditioned cabins sleep four guests, and three crew run her, a captain and two hands, which comes close to a crew member for each guest staying the night. Towels, drinking water and soft drinks come with her, and there is Wi-Fi aboard.

On deck

The cockpit carries a small dining table, a sofa and a fridge within reach, so a group can sit down to eat in the open air rather than going inside, and the saloon keeps its light through large windows. A flybridge adds a further space out in the air.

Charter notes

Monica suits two couples sharing her, and she is set up for half-day as well as full-day hire; for a day on the water she can take twenty-one, so a larger gathering fits aboard the same boat.
