Funsea Motor Yacht

A gym is a rare thing to find on a 90ft (27m) motor yacht, and Funsea has made room for hers. She left the Aicon yard in 2010 and was refitted in 2021.

Comfort under way

Her stabilisers do their work at rest as well as at speed, which takes much of the movement out of both. She holds 22 knots as a cruise with 28 knots available, and burns 580 litres of fuel an hour.

On deck

The jacuzzi on deck is open to the sky, and the swim platform puts the sea a single step below. Air conditioning cools the interior, and with Wi-Fi aboard a week away need not mean losing touch with home.

Water toys

A Seadoo Spark jet ski and a Seabob each take a rider under their own power, while the SUP board is for a slower look around an anchorage. Water skis, a wakeboard and a Jobe Airstream towable are all there to be pulled behind a boat, and a floating island stays put on the surface for swimmers. Fishing tackle and snorkelling gear travel with her, and the 14ft Lomac tender runs the group ashore.

Where she cruises

Santorini is her home port and Mykonos a second base, which gives her two starting points in Greece. She works Greece, Turkey and Cyprus, three stretches of coast with different harbours and bays to drop anchor in.

Accommodation and crew

Five cabins sleep ten guests overnight, and twelve can be aboard for a day on the water. A crew of four runs her, and her busiest months fall in July and August.

Charter notes

Funsea suits two couples travelling together, or a family, and alongside the full week she also takes a three-day or single-day hire, so a group with less time can still have her.
