Arwen Motor Yacht

A refit in 2016 followed Arwen's 2007 delivery, and the Aicon motor yacht that came out of it is a 74ft (22m) cruiser with a saloon roof that opens the interior to the sky.

Where she cruises

Sicily is Arwen's home port, and she cruises in Italy and in Malta – Italy for a long coast of anchorages, Malta for a second country to go ashore in.

Accommodation and crew

Three cabins sleep six: a master, a VIP and a double, with two queen beds and a double between them, and three bathrooms. The cabins are air-conditioned and each has a screen with satellite channels, Wi-Fi reaches throughout, and a crew of two runs her.

Comfort under way

A pair of CAT engines give her 28 knots at the top and a 22-knot cruise, at which she burns 270 litres an hour.

On deck

A sunpad covers the bow, flat and open for sunbathing, and the saloon holds a dining table for meals taken inside.

Water toys

A Seadoo Spark jet ski and a three-seat towable banana each take three riders, a Seabob F7 is aboard, and there is snorkelling gear for a look at what lies under the surface. An 11ft Hydro Jet tender does the runs ashore.

Charter notes

Arwen, with July and August her peak months, suits a family or a group of friends, and she is offered for day hire too, taking twelve aboard – twice the number who sleep in her cabins, so a wider group can come out on the water.
