Good Day Sunshine Power Catamaran

Six paddleboards travel aboard Good Day Sunshine, so six guests can be off her and on the water together, and two fishing rods go with them for anyone who would rather fish. She is a 78ft (24m) power catamaran from Sunreef Yachts, delivered in 2025.

Water toys

Her tender is an 18ft Williams DieselJet 565, which does the runs ashore, and two Heybikes travel with her as well. Snorkelling gear is aboard for looking beneath the surface, and a hydraulic beach platform at her stern lowers to the sea, giving an easy way in and out of the water and a place from which the toys can be put in. A swim ladder is there too for climbing back aboard.

Where she cruises

Nassau is the home port of Good Day Sunshine, and from the Bahamas she reaches the Turks and Caicos as well as St Martin, St Barths and Anguilla. Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and the Grenadines sit inside her range too, so a week aboard her has a long spread of coast and anchorages to pick from.

Accommodation and crew

Ten guests sleep aboard in four cabins, twelve can be on board for a day out, and her peak season falls between December and March. The master suite is below deck and takes her full beam, with a king bed and its own bathroom, while the VIP cabin has a private entrance from the aft deck. A crew of five look after everyone, and with ten aboard that puts a crew member at the service of every two guests.

Comfort under way

She cruises at 11 knots and burns 60 litres of fuel an hour doing it, with 22 knots in hand when there is distance to cover, so a longer passage need not eat into the time spent stopped.

On deck

The flybridge is built around a central bar with seating and a barbecue, so meals can be cooked and eaten in the open. On the aft deck an outdoor table seats ten, enough for every guest at once, and the sunbeds there convert into seating. Sweeping glass doors at the back of the saloon open onto that aft deck, the saloon itself running the whole main deck behind wraparound windows with its own dining table at the centre, and a terrace on the foredeck gives a further place to lie out.

Charter notes

Good Day Sunshine suits two couples, each with a proper cabin of their own, or a family, and she is offered for hire by the week. Her twin cabin carries two extra bunks and was laid out with children in mind, which gives a family a room for its children from the first night to the last.
